id Gadget -> Apparently the spread of "Malware Flashback" on Mac computers introduced a new generation of "Mac-specific virus". From Intego, An online security firm, reported that a new variant of Flashback, and called (Flashback.S), it has made a round. Not much different as the former. The new malware, taking advantage of the vulnerabilities of Java. Something that Apple already patched.
"The Flashback.S" requires a password in the installation and placed into the user's home folder. Once installed, remove the virus all the files and sub-folders that involves caching of Java,. Where this will eliminate the applet from an infected Mac, used to avoid detection.
Although malware is automatically installed, it will not run if it finds the installed antivirus program such as VirusBarrier X6, Xcode, or Little Snitch.
