Continuing the integration with important third-party applications, Apple is said to include another new feature in Siri in the upcoming iOS 6.1 update. While currently you can get movie ticket reviews and timings with iOS 6.1, in future you will also be able to purchase tickets through Siri.

Once you do that, the device will launch the Fandango app and your tickets will be booked. If you don’t have the app installed, you will get an option to download it from the App Store. This feature will only available in the US for a while and won’t be compatible with all the theaters.

Facebook opens mobile ads for apps to all developers

Facebook opens mobile ads for apps to all developers, keeps them on the money train. It's no secret that Facebook saw FarmVille for iOS as writing on the wall: it had to either tap into mobile app revenue or risk losing income (and marketing-savvy developers) whenever someone left the web.

Following a beta this summer, the company's solution to its dilemma is now open to everyone. All developers on the social network can build ads that link from Facebook's Android and iOS apps to either Google Play or the App Store - offering both an easy plug for their native apps and that all-important ad revenue for Facebook.

The system currently takes a shotgun approach and may pitch social networkers for apps they already have or don't want, but it should be refined in the next few months to where some curious purchasers won't even have to leave Facebook to load that hot new title. Hopefully the increased recognition for mobile developers is worth sullying our once pristine news feeds.

id gadget : Real story from adobe , for now Adobe really wants web designers to kick things up a notch. Not satisfied with where Edge has gone so far, it just released a full-fledged Edge Tools & Services suite to cover the bases for polished desktop and mobile pages on most any modern platform. Motion tool Edge Animate [formerly Edge Preview], automated previewing tool Edge Inspect (formerly Shadow) and mobile app packager PhoneGap Build have all arrived in the suite as version 1.0 releases, and come with both Edge Web Fonts as well as TypeKit to spruce up text. A pair of pre-release utilities, Edge Code [Brackets] and Edge Reflow, are also joining the group to tackle the nitty gritty of editing web code and layouts.

Any of the apps will readily cooperate with third-party software, although they won't always be cheap: while most of the Edge suite is free to use in at least a basic form as long as you have a Creative Cloud membership at any level, Edge Animate is only free during its initial run and should eventually cost either $15 per month or $499 in a one-time sale. Dropbox app for Galaxy S III with 48GB of free space

The Dropbox app for the Samsung Galaxy S III, which offers 48GB of free cloud storage for all S III owners, has been ported for other devices. This means that you’ll be able to install the dropbox apk from the S III on your device (if it’s rooted), and get some free cloud storage love.
You may recall how HTC had a similar deal for their One series phones, giving you a complimentary 25GB for two years with any new device purchase. Little did they expect that people would simply rip the apk file, and install it on their non-HTC phone to receive the free Dropbox space. While eventually the Dropbox folks managed to track down the false activations and remove their free storage, as of now they still haven’t done so with the Galaxy S III apk.

Dropbox : This time around, however, it’s a bit trickier to beat the system, as you’ll need to have a rooted device, and flash the apk with ClockorkMod recovery. Be sure to remove and previous version of Dropbox from your device beforehand, as well.

3GB free Dropbox storage with HTC smartphones

3GB free Dropbox storage with HTC smartphones. HTC and Dropbox have been mum about their deal for additional 3GB of free storage which was promised to come with every HTC device. Yes, according to some reports old HTCs seem to be receiving the free space, too. Well, now with the HTC Rezound being currently available for grabs, the deal with Dropbox has become active.

This is confirmed by user NightAngel79 over at Phandroid forums, who has purchased the Rezound recently. He reports that the Dropbox app doesn’t come preinstalled with the device and the 3GB of free storage become available to your account only when you download the app and sign in with your Dropbox account. So adding the 3GB of the bonus storage with the Dropbox’s default 2GB free space gives all HTC owners a total of 5GB of cloud storage to spare.
